It has been a busy month for me full of traveling, work and studying. This week’s group proved to be enlightening with two newcomers who possessed infectious positive enthusiasm that helped raise the group’s energies. Thank you, ladies. Last week was canceled due to business travel and the previous week was canceled due to a Mental Health break…lol. Our topic this week was on co-dependent rescuing which resonated with group members. Rescuing tends to keep us from tending to our own self-care and enables individuals to not clean up their own side of the street, so to speak. It is one of those self-defeating aspects that can contribute to one straying from their spiritual path. Some of the “red flags” covered in the topic consisted of our mind tricking us into thinking that we could change that person. It is a trick we can wind up in without realizing it. Relationships are tricky. A good reminder to allow others to deal with their own issues and stay focused on our own. Happy summer and Namaste.
