Meditation

Meditation is an important part of healing.

It calms the mind and body so that a person can become one with themselves, get in touch with spirit, and start healing for their highest good. It only stands to reason that when a person can relax and relieve stress through meditation, that healing will happen. Stress is the most common cause of discomfort and can fester in the body until physical, spiritual and mental ailment can occur. Using the holistic process that I offer as an aid to working with a medical doctor, life changes can happen that will allow a person to heal from within.

Many doctors and other professionals will agree that a change in lifestyle is necessary to heal the body. However, what is not always discussed is the holistic approach to lifestyle changes. This is up to the individual to pursue in the fashion that they deem necessary.

If you are reading this, you have already made a decision to look into other options for your highest good. The body is very capable of healing itself if only given the chance. At Good’s Holistic Healing there are no positives or negatives, just needed and unneeded energies and situations in life. By not labeling things as positive or negative, we release the stigma often found with those words.

There are many ways of meditating.

Some of these include:

  • transcendental meditation (TM)
  • mindful meditation
  • loving-kindness meditation
  • progressive relaxation
  • body scan meditation
  • breath awareness meditation
  • Kundalini yoga
  • Zen meditation

I utilize several of these

including, mindful meditation, progressive relaxation or body scan meditation, breath awareness meditation and loving-kindness meditation. All of these types can be done individually, and sometimes two or more are combined into one.

I confer with the client to create the direction for their path and work together to progress to a better place. Some clients will find that group meditation is part of their process. We offer a free group meditation once a week to introduce this (donations are encouraged). Other group meditations are implemented as needed for a minimal fee.

Spiritual Mentoring and Reiki are often included in the client’s development. As each person is different, the process is done on an individual basis. I cater toward the person that is just learning meditation. There are many people that think they can’t meditate and need some help getting started. After developing the ability to meditate, meditation may be done at home without guidance.
